In the beginning of 2020, the COVID pandemic started and the world changed quickly and dramatically. People were desperate and felt insecure and lonely. Government restrictions forbade any social gathering, separating families, friends, colleagues and school children.

Across the island, people found themselves with limited food, clothing and medical services. Into this difficult situation, Friendship Circle responded immediately and efficiently. The Friendship Circle gathered a team of several hundred volunteers. The volunteers delivered ready hot meals, clothing and other necessities to those who found themselves isolated and in need.

For many, these daily deliveries not only provided for physical needs, but it also provided psychological support as our volunteers listened and offered a smile.

Friendship Circle continues its ongoing operations to provide and care for those in need.
